Performance at Tom Billard's Church

Kirkwall Presbyterian Church, Kirkwall, Flamborough, Ontario (14 Sep 2008): This performance and mini-reunion had been in the works for months. Tom is now the minister at this Presbyterian Church and he asked us to come and sing in his church, just like the good old days.

The request mainly went to the Toronto region folks who were likely to be able to attend. In the end we had Tom Billard and wife Laura, Christine Billard and Murray Haines, Barb and Richard Friend, Phil and Sheila Lang, Glen Bodie and Susan Lilholt, Pam Blackstock and Kemp McMeekin, Wendy Gilbert-Rees, Jim Hill and, our special long-distance guest star - Al Blackstock and wife Jeanette.

We have seen the most dramatic increase in H&N membership in 35 years because Laura, Susan, Kemp and Jim all donned red shirts and sang with us. And while we were singing, Jeanette took all the video and a lot of the pictures you see below.

We practiced for ~4 hours on Saturday, had a great dinner at Tom and Laura's, and did the service on Sunday morning. Soon after the service, many people had to start the drive home to be at work Monday morning.

Here are copies of the music we used in the service:

These are videos of everything we sang. Some of them are fairly large and will be a pain if you're on a dial-up connection. Click on the link to download the video into your computer's media player. You may need to click Back to return to this page. Thanks to Jeanette for being our videographer.

There were also a lot of pictures taken on the weekend. Yes, there are some duplicates from one photographer to another, but I couldn't decide who had the best one, so I put them all online!
