To get to St Pierre and Miquelon, we
had to drive out to the tip of Burin peninsula to the towns of Grand Bank and
Fortune since that is where the ferry leaves from.
First we arrived at
Fortune and checked in to our motel, wandered around and took some photos of
the sunset.

And we got this kind of sunset shots.

We wandered around Grand Bank looking
for a good place for dinner, but came up empty.
Grand Bank is another small coastal community, near to Fortune.

And finally, after a 90 minute ferry
ride, we got to St Pierre.
First stop of course is at the Customs office.
We went looking for breakfast.

Ile des Marins is a small island just off shore that provides a
breakwater to shelter the main harbour of St Pierre. As rustic as St
Pierre is, this smaller island looks like it comes from a far older time.
