From "The Newfoundland Ancestor" Spring 1994, An article on "Ananias Case (1808-1863)", written by David Wells, 32 Parliament Street, St. John's, NF, A1A 2Y8. Received from Barbara Pederson. "On November 21, 1829 Ananias married Grace Rose (1814-1832) the daughter of James and Eliza Rose of Marshall's Folly, at the Methodist Church in Blackhead. Grace was only fifteen at the time of their marriage. The settled in Flathead (Flatrock). Grace died in childbirth on April 6, 1832 at the age of 18 while delivering her third child Eliza Grace Fletcher. She is buried in the United Church cemetery in Carbonear." Their third child: "Eliza Grace Fletcher, born in Flathead, April 1832; baptised September 16, 1832; died December 28, 1873; buried in United Church Cemetery, Victoria, C.B.; married George Antle of Victoria Village; children- Joshua (1853-?), John (1855-1910), Ananias (1858-19--) and Ann Marie (1860-?)." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
