The Sapphire Beach Club is on Cupecoy Beach in the Dutch part of the island. It is a Wyndham property, and we traded a timeshare week in Hawaii to get in there.

These first shots are views in and from the room, looking south over the pool to the sea and some of the things we could see in the distance.

One night, when the moon was out, Glen went for a little skinny dip in the pool, but it was too dark for Susan to get a good photo from the 3rd floor balcony!

The actual "beach" in front of the hotel is actually almost not there at all.

It is about 20 square feet of sand surrounded by large rocks. And there's nowhere you can walk from there.

It's very pretty and also dramatic, but if you want to go for a relaxing swim, you'd better find another beach.

Rumour has it that the beach is sometimes there and sometimes washed away, but we never saw anything but this little bit of sand and rocks.
