We decided late in the week that we hadn't really seen the East Coast of the island. Perhaps that is because there's less there and the road often does not follow the coast line.

But we did find some nice coastline just past Orleans called Baie de L'Embouchure just outside L'Etang aux Poissons.

We had seen goats in fields beside the road, but here the cows are ride on the road. We missed them, and they didn't seem to care that we were there.

We stopped in Oyster Pond at Captain Oliver's for happy hour at the Iguana Bar. The dividing line between the French and Dutch sides runs right through Oyster Pond.

Here is Susan sitting on the dockside watching the birds diving for fish, and the sailboats coming back to harbour late in the day.

It is a great sheltered harbour with lots of good sized boats lined up and waiting for their captains.

Just around the point on Dawn Beach is a new Westin Hotel, Resort and Spa. Being Starwoods Owners and Gold Club members we were sure they'd welcome us, and they did.

It's a marvelous setting, typically well done Westin resort, amazing pool, and dinner at the restaurant was great.
